5. Disadvantages of direct drinking water machines:

During the water production process, direct drinking water machines will generate waste water. The pore size of the RO reverse osmosis membrane of the direct drinking water machine is very small. To pass through the small pores, water needs to be pushed with pressure. Impurities that do not pass through the RO membrane will be trapped, resulting in waste water. However, this waste water can be reused, such as flushing toilets or mopping floors.


6. Working principle of direct drinking water machines:

The technological core of the direct drinking water machine is the reverse osmosis membrane. Its working principle is to apply a certain pressure to water, allowing water molecules and ionized mineral elements to pass through a layer of reverse osmosis membrane. The majority of dissolved inorganic salts (including heavy metals), organic substances, bacteria, viruses, etc. that are dissolved in the water cannot pass through the reverse osmosis membrane. Thus, it strictly separates the permeable direct drinking water from the concentrated water that cannot pass through. The pore size of the reverse osmosis membrane is only 0.0001-0.001 micrometers, equivalent to one millionth of a hair. The smallest size of a virus is also above 0.2 micrometers, so they cannot pass through the reverse osmosis membrane.
