Hypochlorous acid disinfectant with hypochlorous acid

The main functional component of acidic electrolyzed water/hypochlorous water is hypochlorous acid. Hypochlorous acid can be produced by electrolyzing dilute hydrochloric acid, sodium chloride solution, or acidifying sodium hypochlorite with hydrochloric acid. The form of chlorine in water is related to the pH value. When the pH value is 5.0-6.5, it mainly exists in the form of hypochlorous acid. Therefore, you can mix low-concentration sodium hypochlorite solution with hydrochloric acid (or acetic acid, citric acid, etc.) solution , Adjust the pH value to generate hypochlorous acid. In addition, it is possible to generate hypochlorous acid by electrolyzing a low-concentration hydrochloric acid and/or aqueous sodium chloride solution using a diaphragm or non-diaphragm electrolytic cell.

In biological systems, hypochlorous acid (HClO) is produced by the oxidation of chloride ions under the combined action of neutrophil-derived myeloperoxidase and hydrogen peroxide. The results of quantitative analysis showed that within 2 hours of incubation time, 100,000 activated neutrophils could produce about 2×10-7 mol of hypochlorous acid.
